Omaha Community Foundation Grant

Project: Tree Replacement & Maintenance
RRPOA utilized grant funds to replace trees lost in recent storms. Six Royal Raindrop Crabapple trees were planted and maintained in the islands at 114th & Fort Streets to enhance neighborhood aesthetics and landscape sustainability.

Project: Pond Algae Management & Maintenance Support
With support from Councilmember Aimee Melton, RRPOA implemented several measures to improve water quality and manage algae in the Rambleridge Park pond, including:

Installation of a circulating fountain to improve water movement

Partnership with the City of Omaha for spring vegetation prevention treatment

Weekly beneficial bacteria treatments

Algaecide applications during peak summer conditions

The fountain was later removed to prevent damage caused by excessive algae buildup in shallow water conditions.
